Visual Studio 2012 closing tag problem

The HTML Editor in Visual Studio 2012 RTM contains a very annoying bug: when you close an opening HTML tag, the closing tag is not inserted automatically. The beauty of this problem – beside that it worked perfectly in the previous versions – that you don’t experience this problem with English keyboard layout, only with Canadian Multilingual and some Central and Eastern European layouts.

The patch is already on the way, but in the meantime there is a workaround and in the following video I show you how you can fix the problem:

Official new name for Metro

Since Microsoft dropped the “Metro” name in early August, there was no official announcement about what should we use instead. In the meantime, however, the MSDN pages are silently got updated, and there you can trace the new terminology:

Metro apps = Windows Store apps

Metro design language = Microsoft design language

Metro style principles = Microsoft design style principles

Indeed these names seem to be much better from legal view.
